Production

Production Of Pineapples

Gwanzi Queens produces pineapples throughout the whole year.

Pineapple farming is a labour intensive process that takes up to 18 months, from planting a sucker to harvesting a scrumptious yellow pineapple.

Cultivar

Queen Pineapple

Queen (Ananas Cosmosus)

This pineapple has a bumpy diamond-patterned skin with thorny leaves and a sweet yellow flesh.

Because of its high sugar content it is popular eaten fresh, but is also an excellent all-rounder and great for cooking with.
